996 Decklids: How to Remove and Replace |
|
|
|
1. Raise the decklid and remove the plug-in connector for the decklid electrics. It's located behind the right tail light. It supplies power for the brake light, fan and engine light! |
2. Remove the four 6mm bolts (two per side), securing the decklid to the hinges.
Lift off and remove the decklid. |
3. Bolt the new tailbase on, fit the latch, plug the wiring in and you are done. It's a five minute job!
