996 Decklids: How to Remove and Replace
1. Raise the decklid and remove the plug-in connector for the decklid electrics. It's located behind the right tail light. It supplies power for the brake light, fan and engine light! 2. Remove the four 6mm bolts (two per side), securing the decklid to the hinges.

Lift off and remove the decklid.		 3. Bolt the new tailbase on, fit the latch, plug the wiring in and you are done. It's a five minute job!
